Melaleuca Independence Day Parade Float with several interns who helped to build it

Melaleuca Wins Best Float Award in Idaho Falls Parade

Melaleuca marched front and center in the Idaho Falls Independence Day parade, which police estimate to have more than 100,000 in attendance. During the parade, Team Members tossed out 650 pounds of saltwater taffy to parade watchers! Our float, with the theme “Celebrating America’s Future,” proudly depicted fireworks in welded metal, wood, and streamers. They were a preview, of course, of the highly anticipated pyrotechnic show later that night.

Shortly before the parade started, Melaleuca received the award for Best Commercial Entry by the parade’s organizer, the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce. That’s no small feat with 135 other floats in the parade!

Design and construction were completed by an army of employees, interns, volunteers, and even 10 of Melaleuca CEO Frank VanderSloot’s grandchildren.
